What Services do you need?
Most accountants list a dizzying array of services. But what do you actually need?
Standard Compliance
Are you new to business?
If you are new to business, a good accountant will do more than just handle compliance work. They can advise you on the best business structure, support you in choosing and using accounting software, assist with budgeting and cash flow forecasting, and offer feedback as your business grows.
If you run a business through a company, you are required by IRD to produce and hold a set of Financial Statements. Your lenders may also require these.

Based on the results in these financial statements, your taxation will be calculated.

The IRD also requires where appropriate registration and filing of GST, PAYE, RWT and FBT to name a few.

The Companies Office requires the filing of annual returns and the maintenance of documents required to be held at the companies registered office.
We provide all these services
Is your business growing?
Once you've mastered the basics and your business is growing, a good accountant can assist with acquiring new businesses, advise on more complex or large-scale business structures, and provide tax advice on personally investing your hard-earned profits.
We offer all of these as well!

Services we recommend
If you are new to business:
If you are an established business:
We recommend that we prepare your yearly Financial Statements, file your income tax returns and review your first few GST returns. We also recommend that we maintain your companies registered office. We will review your Financial Statements with you yearly and will also complete an interim review before your final provisional tax payment is due.
We can also help with your business setup including company formation, business plan, forecasting and cashflow. We will be available to answer all your questions around accounting software, taxation compliance and general business advice. There is no such thing as a silly question, we are here to help!
In addition to the above core services, we offer advice on business acquisitions and divestment, funding requirements and industry specific taxation issues.

Pricing
We charge a competitive hourly rate which is in line with industry standards. Unlike subscription-based models with fixed monthly fees, our approach allows for flexibility - recognizing that the level of accounting service and advice required can vary significantly from year to year, depending on your business’s unique needs.

A good accountant can ultimately save you money and more than cover their fees over the course of your business relationship.
A bad accountant may cost you!
